Other features include Bluetooth A2DP compatibility with optional YBA-10 wireless audio receiver, on-screen display with iPod song title display, 7-channel 630W powerful surround sound (90W x 7), Burr-Brown 192kHz/24-bit DACs used in all channels for impressive sound reproduction, 1080p-compatible HDMI switching (2 inputs, 1 output), component video upconversion with TBC HDTV, compatible component video terminals (3 inputs, 1 output), and cinema DSP with 8 DSP programs for full surround sound.
Customer Review: Great Price, Great Features
In summary, I really enjoy the product. My only minor issue is the lack of an RF connector that's not specifically for FM radio. And the up-conversion for some older devices is VERY unreliable, forcing me to purchase a composite video cable. Other than that, the RX-V563BL is definitely worth the price tag and is recommended if up-converting composite video devices isn't a necessity as it was for me.
Customer Review: third time's a charm
I spent the last 3 months trying to find the right av receiver for me. After much praise, i bought and returned the onkyo txsr605 (setup and video was great, sound was poor, including a buzz i've never had before) and the Harmon Kardon AVR 340 (sound was great, but vidoe quality in non-hd was aweful). I waited a few weeks for the new yamaha a/v receivers to come out in April. It was definifely worth the wait. GUI is not great, but the sound is amazing and no major complaints with the video. My only issues has to do with how quickly it can switch between HD and non-HD souces with my cable box (handshake), although i hear this is a common problem with certain cable boxes.

Customer Review: A Few Useful Observations...
This is my first lcd TV as I was pulled kicking and screaming into the digital age... I cannot compare it to anything else, therefore, so I picked a 3 star rating. I like the picture, sound is okay. Menus are quite easy to use and intuitive. Now the bad: I am amazed that the remote gives you like one second to put in maybe a two or more digit number. If you don't do it exactly right, and fast, the wrong number will appear and the wrong station is what you will get. This is not adjustable and is annoying. The remote, in general, is not friendly. Buttons are too small to read. For that matter, the channels on the TV are also VERY small to read, much smaller than on my 19 inch analog. One small criticism... why does the TV always start on with "Philips" blazing across it? I think I know the brand name by now. And, no, it is not in "demo" mode, no options to get rid of this. It goes go away in a few seconds so no problem. But since I was listing the negatives... Again, do like the picture, the price, and sound mostly is good.
Customer Review: excellent picture
Bought this tv at costco and for comparison bought a smilarly priced Sanyo from walmart. The picture and sound on this TV especially HDTV is much better than Sanyo. Remote is not that friendly, but overall its a great buy.

Customer Review: Just OK so far...
I'll break this into a couple pieces -- setup of the unit, and functions of the Cisco Media Player. I had a Roku prior to this, so forgive the comparisons. Setup -- I just received my DMP100 today. It took more setup than I expected, including a call to tech support. The good news is that tech support was quickly available (less than 2 minutes to connect, 24-hour service), very knowledgeable and helpful, polite, and provided clear directions. The unit was up and running after the call. I was surprised that the DMP had to be hard-connected to my router for the initial configuration. I setup my Roku using the GUI and had it running in 20 minutes, wirelessly. Cisco Media Player (CMP) -- I must say that I am disappointed in the player functions. The Roku player that I had before connected to Rhapsody, but did not try to replace it. CMP requires that you enter your username/password and it connects to Rhapsody directly. The Roku used the Rhapsody connection on my computer; a minor inconvenience if it wasn't running and had to be started. Despite the fact that CMP connects directly to Rhapsody, I can't select a playlist and play it! I have to select all of the songs in the playlist and drop them into the queue. Also, the shuffle on the Roku would pick a starting point in the playlist and shuffle songs from there -- just like Rhapsody. CMP "shuffles" the playlist once and plays from there. If you want a different sorting of the list, you are required to shuffle again the next time. Drag and drop do not seem to be valid functions through most of the player (e.g. drag a playlist to the queue). Lastly, you have to have a computer available to control the DMP, their is not GUI, unless you spring another $150 for the next model up. Summary -- overall, I suspect that this will be satisfactory for my purpose -- to connect my Rhapsody to my stereo. Although I really liked my Roku, it suffered a fatal problem after about 18 months. Repeated emails to support, no phone available, were ignored for almost 3 weeks until I sent a flaming email (telling them how bad their support SUCKS) and received back the offer to repair my unit for $129. I only paid $199 for it new, hence the choice to put my money into a more reputable company like Linksys.
