PNY OPTIMA 2GB DDR2 667 MHz PC2-5300 Notebook / Laptop SODIMM Memory Module MN2048SD2-667

DDR2 is the next generation of DDR memory. DDR2 memory features faster speeds, greater bandwidth, lower power consumption and enhanced thermal performance. Although DDR2 modules are the same physical dimension as DDR modules, the plug-in connector configuration is different and as such DDR2 modules are not compatible with PCs requiring DDR modules, and vice-versa. PNY manufactures DDR2 memory upgrades rated at PC2-3200, PC2-4200, PC2-5300 and higher. They are compatible with desktop and notebook computers and processors including Intel`s Pentium, Celeron, Centrino, AMD`s Athlon and Sempron Socket AM2 processors, and others. PNY upgrade modules are compatible with systems from Apple, Compaq, DELL, Gateway, HP, IBM and over 5000 other systems. Boost the performance of your PC. PNY memory upgrades will prove to be an outstanding value now and in the future.
Customer Review: Works great in my MacBook Pro
I bought this to upgrade my 2gb to 3 gb and everything is working perfect. I have had no problems what so ever.
Customer Review: very good buy
I had a laptop with 2 gbyte memory. It runs fine, but I wanted to experiment with virtual machines. So I thought I need the extra gig I would get from upgrading to 4 gbytes (i have vista 32). I first went to fry's electronics and they sold me no brand name memory but the right type PC2-4200. I tried them and found that my computer was unstable. It would randomly crash. So I went back to the factory memory and got my refund. Then amazon put this memory in lightning discount. I recognized the PNY brand as a good brand, so I gave it a try again. I ordered them, then installed them on my machine. I am happy to say that my machine runs ok with with this memory. No crashes whatsoever. As to speed gain, I hardly can say. Vista 32 runs fine with 2 gbytes. Like I said, I needed to run virtual machines without worries. And this does the job fine.
